Devlog 07: Animations & Player Feedback
Introduction
We are in the first week of our second production sprint and we mainly focused on adding player feedback, animations and the witch. The programmers and the artists worked on the player feedback together while the artists focused on some more props and animations. The programmers implemented some witch logic besides the player feedback.
Witch
The witch is finally in the game she casts a random potion on a certain cooldown. For the future we plan on decreasing that cooldown the lower the timer gets. She also already plays a sound when she uses a potion. For now she can use the ice, rock and inverted controls potion.
Characters
All the playable characters have their movement animated now. A blend space controls the direction and speed of the movement so that we can achieve smooth blending between the different animations we are using
HUD
For this week we started to work on HUD. Its now visible what scroll you have in your inventory.
You can see how you need to craft and your lives!
We'll continue to work on HUD and UI next week.
Environment
We work on texturing and unwrapping the assets for environments, and make some minor changes to the camera and level.
